As a reminder be sure to check your Christmas lights, even the new ones, before hanging them. All the bulbs should be in working order and no frayed wires, broken sockets, or loose connections. When putting up lights use extension cords designed for the outdoors, be sure they are plugged into a GFCI outlet, and avoid overloading cords. Always review the manufacturers suggestions when installing your holiday lights. Be sure to put your candles and turn off twinkle lights when you go to bed or leave the house to reduce fire risk.
